Stacy, diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) in 2006, succumbed to the disease in 2009. In her words, about the importance of joining the registry:

If this is the same Stacy, I knew her. We talked about the registry and I even talked to her mother about it. She was so brave and I think of her often, even now. She always had a smile on her face, even towards the end. It was a privilege to have been her nurse.
