On November 29, 2008, Ken was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). After being in remission for a year, Ken was not responding well enough to the medications he had been taking so they switched him to another medication and began a bone marrow donor search.
In December, 2010 Ken received a transplant from his sister. Although, not a perfect match, she was the best candidate to donate since there were no matches in the registry.
Ken will be undwent chemo treatment starting December 1 and his transplant date is December 9. Please keep Ken in your thoughts and prayers in the coming months.
